This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In Kindergarten, we are learning how to be independent, organized, and responsible. Along with the organization piece of this project, there are materials needed that are must haves at the beginning of the school year!

The IKEA Trofast storage/organizational system is the perfect answer to keeping all of our Kindergarten materials organized and easily accessible.

In a Kindergarten classroom, the students are encouraged to become more independent in the educational setting. Having a unit/system that is easily accessible for young students is important to help foster that independence. The size, weight, and height of the bins and the unit itself are the perfect size for a Kindergartener.

Being that kindergarteners are learning routines and procedures, passing out materials can sometimes take quite a bit of time from instructional time. This organizational system along with the book/technology bags will also help us save time and give us more time to focus on instruction.

We will use our book/technology bags to learn how to be independent, organized and to take care of our materials in school and at home. The students will have a safe way to transport their technology to and from school as they begin their journey towards success.

As a new school year is about to begin, we would love to provide each student with a durable homework folder. These folders will be filled with learning/homework resources so the colored ink and cardstock will be extremely beneficial to getting our folder system started.
