Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting organizational and aesthetic materials and activities to use to engage my students in teamwork and thinking to support my classroom and encourage student engagement.

Things like paper turn in baskets, folder holders, marker holders and such will help make materials accessible.

We are also in need of a wall map as none of our classrooms have one at this time. Many have never seen a map on the wall- this is important to show students their relation other places. During our exploration unit, having the star projector will make learning novel and interesting. The peel and stick decor items will be used to soften the atmosphere in the room. The various board games will be used for team building and competitions to build friendly challenges to break up the day. The charging stations will be used to keep computers charged and ready to use. The inflator, paint and Striping Machine are essential for P.E. and sports.

Bins, materials and storage apparatuses will help to keep materials where they need to be, so they are ready when needed. The headphones will reduce noise, the lamps will reduce harsh lighting and allow students to feel calmer while still having light to work from.
