My Project
Clipboards are far from glamorous however this simple tool is essential in the classroom. One of my students' favorite art projects is watercolor painting. Fun fact about watercolor painting is that it is best to tape down and secure the paper to create a seamless, level surface that doesn't ripple when painting. This is an essential step for my students as their painting projects carry over for a couple of days to a week so having the ability to tape down and secure their project on a transportable board will allow them to place their art on the drying racks safely between painting days.
The great thing about having these boards available for my students is that we can use them for other projects as well like outdoor quick sketches that take breaks from being in the classroom and allowing them to find inspiration outside as well.
There is something amazing about my students in that they really appreciate learning the proper techniques and take pride in the art that they produce. As their teacher, I always want to provide everything that I can for them to give them the creative environment and tools that they deserve to keep creating and expressing themselves in positive ways!
