My Project
Hello! Horticulture teacher here at W.B. Saul High School! For my first year of teaching, I have found a strong interest among students in connecting plants through food processing. For example, we used Nachos as a basis for discussion about plant nutrients, where they come from and how they work in plants vs humans.
As such, I am looking to teach about plants through cooking for some of my lessons!
To do so, though, we are in need of cooking materials to use in class. I had to bring my own materials from home to use on multiple occasions, and having a set here would make all of our lives easier. I am hoping that with this cookware, we'll be able to explore more into how we can connect plants back to us through food, interconnecting food science, nutrition, basic cooking skills, and crop science.
