My students need 12 new violin bows to continue playing and enjoying their instruments to the best of their ability.

My Students
Do you remember when you first held an instrument in your hand? Maybe it was a violin or a trumpet. Either way, you wanted to do anything and everything you could with that instrument. Now imagine trying to use a violin without a bow or with one that is so dirty it doesn't work properly anymore.
About 90% of my student population are from low-income households.
Many of them have a hard time getting to school each day because they have to watch their family members or work for their parents. Each day school seems to be a hard thing for them to grasp... it's importance to their life, and how it will mold them into what they will be in the future.
My Project
Most of my students have come up to me at least once in their school careers and have told me how much music means to them, and how it keeps them going each day. If Music is something I can do to keep a student in school and going in life, I will continue to strive each day to help them. These bows could inspire the inner musician, find the next Itzak Perlman, change someones life, and if I can do that to at least one student, I've done my job.
I feel it's been a while since my students have seen something new to their music department.
Music means the World to them, but they do not know how it feels to play to their fullest. I hope this will inspire them not just in my classroom but to their future music and academic classes.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
