it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
At my school we have exceptionally talented and dedicated students who are willing to go the extra mile to have a dynamic and challenging music education. Our students may face very difficult situations, at home, and around them, but their willingness to persevere, and their tenacity has set them apart.
Our music students have gone on to do great things in the community, and in higher level music education.
We are honored to know that many of our scholars have received scholarships, and high placement due to their work in music. We are very proud of their work, and are excited to see what great things they will do this year. Music has done great things for our most at risk youth. Let's help them continue their great work!
My Project
With these trumpets, bows and shoulder rests, our school can continue to build its orchestra and band. Our students have asked for a string program at our school for several years. Over the summer our school was able to get some string instruments, but they are missing some basic resources for us to begin this program. Our school desires to build a music program that is exciting, challenging and engaging, and by building our string program, we will be one step closer to that. We are fortunate enough to find some string instruments for our school, now we need to make sure our students have what they need to play them. The trumpets are our next step to building a top band and orchestra program at our school. With these resources and instruments, it is our hope that we will help our impassioned students find their way to a competitive high school, and a college of their choice.
