My Project

We have the students write a 10 chapter autobiography about their birth, family, school experiences, talents and hobbies, and their future. They include a couple of poems and pictures of them as a baby, as a 6th grader, and a whole family picture. A favorites chart is also put in this book. 6th graders love putting down their memories which makes this project so fun to begin our school year with. This helps us in our language arts instruction, which in turn brings in a lot of the writing informative essays curriculum in an engaging learning experience.
