it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My English Learner students come to school every day ready to learn and explore. My students need a microphone and conversation starter cards to develop oral language proficiency! Last school year, I focused on oral language development in my classroom. Every class session began with a speaking activity with their classmates. Language frames were provided for students to use. When students spoke in front of the classroom, I often had to tell them to project their voice. Starting the school year with a microphone and speaker will help students get more comfortable and confident with public speaking. Students will use the conversation starters at the beginning of each class period.
