This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
PK students are learning to be independent. The labeling around the environment helps gives students visual cues about where items belong. It also allows them to grab materials freely without needing an adult for assistance. Manipulatives and school supplies will be labeled across the shelves. Another way the laminated labels will help students is so that they are able to make choices about the areas they want to work in. There are a certain number of spaces available in each learning area and the label serves so that other students know if that space is an option to work in.
