My students are working hard everyday to become fluent readers! We just need a little help getting organized.
I teach two sets of twenty-four kindergarten students.
My students are only with me for 2.5 hours per day. This means that we squeeze a lot of learning into a small amount of time. They love to play and have a ton of energy. Our best learning is done through interacting with our world and playing. We come from a middle class area in Oklahoma.
My Project
My students will use this station to organize our listening center. The headphones will hang on the sides, the junction box and iPod can sit nicely in the middle, and the books will fit down below. This will help them to utilize their time more efficiently because they wont have to spend time untangling and organizing headphones each day or hunting for the books.
This project will make a difference because it will teach organization skills and help my students have more time each day.
Since we are only in class for 2.5 hours each day, we need to save time anyway we can!
