Operation Get Books For My Bookworms

My Students

My school is in the South Ozone Park area in New York. We have a diverse group of students here at HCMS. My students absolutely love to read and explore new novels. However, I have found it difficult for some of my students to get their hands on books that they are really interested in. I can honestly say their face lights up whenever I add books to the library. So, I want to keep that going for them. They are motivated and want to learn and I want to give them the class library they deserve.

My Project

I want to encourage my students to be reading at home every night. However, I know sometimes it is very difficult for my students to get to their public library or bookstore. The books they read most likely come from my class. I want a classroom library that will make my students excited and eager to read. I have already started building up my classroom library with books that really catch my students' interests. They are really enjoying the books I have added and I want to keep the new additions coming. So, please help us expand our classroom library and keep my students reading!
