Help me give my students an amazing and full classroom to return to!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are low-income strivers who have worked against all odds to make it this far into their high school careers. They live in a community where education is not the first option, yet they continue to push themselves to succeed.
My students are hard workers who exemplify grit and eccentricity in everything they do.
They will overcome any type of obstacles and creatively educate themselves and their classmates. There is never a dull moment around my students. Even though they might not have all the resources that a school should have, they make the best of what they have and exceed all expectations that we have as teachers. Their beautiful hearts show when they support education in every way possible.
My Project
Our charter school is located in the heart of Highland Park. We are a community that services low-income students. Our school's funding is mostly directed at having important elements for our students such as free lunch, free education, and free mental health services. But sadly, funding for student and teacher classroom materials are placed last to other things.
This project will transform my student's classroom!
My students will see that each day their classroom is equipped with everything they need to have a positive learning environment. It is a struggle as a teacher to request funding for classrooms. Getting sticky notes for their annotating projects will be a fantastic way to engage them in the novels we read. Having fun and vibrant markers will attract their attention and when it's their turn to create posters, they'll do so with much more enthusiasm.
Having a rolling stand whiteboard will ensure that I am able to travel through my classroom and engage with every single student there. It seems our students lack the attention when a teacher only teaches from the from of the room. Being mobile will help engage every student and keep them guessing where I'll go next!
