Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
High school students face many pressures and challenges along their way through high school. Teaching cooperative activities helps my students feel more at home at school and gives them a sense of belonging. My program focus is always on personal and social development.
My students are in grades 9 - 12.
We are an inner New York City public school and many of my students come from tough situations at home. We are a small high school of near 500 students. To many of my students school, the gym in particular, is a safe place where they can have fun and compete.
My Project
I am making a small request of the two Omnikin balls and pump so I can teach Omnikin games to my students. These are cooperative games where students work together and really have a lot of fun learning and doing something out of the ordinary gym routine.
Your donation will help my students have a better and richer Physical Ed experience.
Learning to cooperate and be socially/personally responsible makes a huge impact on the type of students that I produce.
