Help me give my students a modern classroom through high-quality instructional videos. My team will use this iPad and Apple Pencil in conjunction with our Swivl system to record and create amazing instructional videos.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our urban scholars are here to explore their world, make connections, and make a difference. They deserve classrooms that give that curiosity room to grow.
Our students have told us time and again that they want lessons that connect to their world, and projects that let them think big.
Join us in working to make that the norm in our classrooms.
My Project
Wow—it's been an amazingly hard year. But in that challenge, we've learned some powerful new skills. Among them, teachers have learned how to create and edit instructional videos with a professional feel. They've flipped their classrooms to allow kids to move through at the pace that's right for them, and through a sequence that's tailored to their next steps. And they've gotten VERY used to being on camera, sharing their practice with the world.
When we return to full-time in-person instruction this fall, we want to take the best of distance learning with us.
This project will give us the technology needed to continue building our bank of engaging and on-demand instructional videos. It'll help English language learners access challenging grade-level novels through interactive read-aloud videos. It'll help students with learning differences review science content or ELA skills retaught through visuals and stories. Through this tech, we'll have a video production suite in our desktop drawer.
And even more importantly, we'll pair this iPad with our Swivl system to capture high-quality videos of each others' classrooms in order to share best practices. How will it look next year as teachers try a self-paced approach as they share a classroom with 29 of their peers? How can we encourage student collaboration and peer support? As we experiment, this tool will let us highlight the approaches that work best and share them across the school.
