Opening Minds and Hearts to the World of Books

This project is fully funded
I am the literacy coach for a building with high-poverty students (k-5)in Iowa. We average over 80% of our students on free and reduced lunches.
We are adopting a new literacy model that will turn our teachers and students in to literacy experts. The model calls for teaching about literature through genres.
We are in need of good literature to use as mentor texts as well as for our children to read in small group instruction. Students and teachers will have access to multiple titles within a genre that they can read, compare, contrast and just enjoy.
Your help will allow my students to access books that they otherwise would never read. You can literally open their minds and hearts to a good book!
