My students need to experience a new series such as the Elephant and Piggie. I currently do not have these books available in my classroom.

My Students
Have you ever went on adventure with a book? I would like to provide opportunities for my students to have access to high interest reading literature. How fun would it be for students to get hooked into the love of reading through a series of books that were allowed to venture home with them nightly.
Many of my students are unable to purchase interest based books from our scholastic book club orders and have expressed interest in these books I am requesting.
The majority of my students are on free and reduced lunch. We are a small community with great needs for growth and development in learning.
My Project
Reading at home=fostering a love for reading and learning. Statistics have shown that a child who reads at home is more likely to be a higher achiever in learning. If a child is interested in the literature that they have access to, they will be more likely to foster a love for reading. This love of reading comes in a variety of ways. I would like to provide a new series of books to my students that would encourage this love for reading. I currently do not have any Mo Williams books in my classroom library for the students to take home for nightly and weekend reading. I have borrowed a few of these books from other teachers to read aloud to my students but have not had the opportunity to establish this series in my classroom library.
