Help me give my students a document camera so items can be enlarged and projected to provide an observation tool for various curriculum opportunities throughout the day.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you sometimes find it hard to read small print? Are you more of visual learner than an auditory learner? My 3rd graders are definitely creative, visual learners. I strive to meet the needs of all my virtual students socially, emotionally, and academically.
My Project
COVID-19 has changed our learning environment. We have moved on from paper, pencil, and books to technology. Teachers are using different platforms on a daily basis to enrich all curriculum lessons.
Our school updated our CPUs and monitors.
However, my document camera from last year does not work with the new CPU. The document camera helps me display the lessons with my virtual learners at home. For example, students will see and comprehend how a paragraph should be written as the teacher models and scaffolds the lesson. Students and teacher will engage together as students discuss the steps on how to solve multi-step word problems. It is imperative that all students can view the procedures. This will greatly benefit all the students. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
Students will be able to focus on their academics, and not whether the technology will work or not. The updated technology will motivate the students to learn and interact with creative lessons.
