My Project

Scholastic News inspires an early love for reading and learning in first grade. It provides nonfiction content that's always engaging and current for learning. As a school, we have a curriculum to teach our science standards, and I hope to use Scholastic News as an extension to the curriculum and as a way to get families engaged as well.

I am hoping to access science content using Scholastic News to engage my students, build nonfiction-reading skills, and increase content-area knowledge.

With Scholastic News, students can build reading skills and increase science and social studies knowledge with engaging informational texts, have access to online resources like videos, Text-to-Speech audio, Spanish translations, games, and more.
