Oops, I Need It Again

Help me give my students some of the oops basics vital in middle school.

My Project

There are just some things that when you need them in middle school, you NEED them. I ran out of pants by the end of last year (I’m right next to the girls room) and the nurse ran dry on deodorant a few months before the end, so the need is DEFINITELY there.

No one should have to go through the school day with blood on their pants or having split a seam.

Though most of who i see are girls having a crisis, there’s been a boy or two in need.

Given that many of my students have parents who can’t come get them on short notice due to work, having some of these emergency (and embarrassing) supplies readily to hand is a life saver. The 8th graders know, the 7th graders learn quick, and a couple months into the year even the baby 6th graders learn that Ms Ulrich has the goods. I’ve lost count of how many girls have come to my door during class or prep to ask for underwear or pants or pads for someone stuck in the bathroom- lucky I’m right next door.
