it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Color a child's life. My students live in a world of poverty - with a stunning view of the city skyline. We need more than the standard 8 colors to depict our neighborhood.
We won several Art contests last year before our budget was cut. Now the only markers we have are the 8 'classic colors' that I bought out of my own pocket at the back to school sales. Without the extra colors, our art isn't nearly as expressive and lively.
As a Pre-K through 5th grade Art teacher, I serve 22 classes a week, totaling about 473 students. So you can see that your donation will help many children. We need markers in more than just the standard eight colors. With these items we expect to win art contests like the Veteran`s Day contest that is coming up really soon.
Winning contests builds self esteem, makes us excited to come to school and sometimes even earns us money for college!
