My Students

The students that are at our school are creative, energetic, and willing to learn. Due to living in a high-poverty, rural area, many of the students come to us with little prior knowledge of the world around them. At our school, we strive to provide our students with as much knowledge and opportunities as possible. We find the students learn more when provided with fun and meaningful activities which also provide chances to work with peers.

My Project

Our school is starting the Ron Clark Academy house system. Our house is Onraka, the House of Unity. We will be conducting meetings where students will become creatively unified with other house members through dance and creative projects. Some items we are hoping to fund are bead necklaces in our house color, pennants on which to draw our house mascot, and tie-dye shirts in our house color for each member. We hope that through working together on these projects, our house members will unite as one and encourage each other to make the culture at the school one that is positive.
