Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Middle school is a challenging time, and I want to ensure that my kiddos learn not only how to read and write, but to think and listen critically. My students come from a low-income community where having the skills to succeed can mean the difference between improving their life situation or staying stagnant. I have amazing kids who have dealt with various amounts of trauma in their lives, but they are resilient and they strive to better themselves. I want to help them do that.
My Project
Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards will give me access to thousands of online resources that I can use in my classroom while teaching literature, reading comprehension, grammar and essay writing. These resources can be used at home or in the classroom.
Teachers Pay Teachers is a great tool to find engaging materials, written and developed by teachers for teachers.
Virtual classes require extra resources and activities to help compensate for the distance. Through the use of Teachers Pay Teachers lessons and activities, my students will be better set up for success.
