Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My second graders will need access to quality reading books. I can print off decodable passages, but it is another benefit to their reading confidence when they are able to read a book that they are holding in their hands!
Please help me give my students books that follows the reading skills they are being taught, helps them to succeed in reading and instills that love of reading!
I’m excited to hear my students read their “first book” with confidence and celebrate that! Reading is worth getting excited about and oftentimes books are hard for my second graders to read because some words are harder than others with the spelling patterns, but with a decodable reader, they are reading and building their confidence along the way!
