My Students
Every morning we meet together as a community of learners to start our day! As we finish our meeting, students are off to a variety of centers and stations that are individualized to meet the wide myriad of needs of my class.
My students are a precious group of differently-abled boys in a small-town Carolina Title I school.
Students receive all small group and 1-1 instruction tailored to meet their special needs. My class covers grades k5-5th, which means we have to be prepared to instruct at a variety of developmental and instructional levels.
My Project
By adding another iPad and case to our classroom, we will be one step closer to having a device for each student. Having a device assigned to each student will enable us to individualize learning apps, communication, schedules and data collection. Our students use the iPad for such a variety of different tasks; having individual devices will enable them to be independent and increase their level of functioning within the classroom and school setting.
By donating to this project you are helping to increase the independent functioning level of my students.
Having individual iPads will mean that there is less juggling of iPads between students and less frustration from students when they are unable to find what they need. This iPad addition will be a game-changer for our class!
