The students at my school are incredible, and I'm not just being biased. They face immense adversity outside of school yet they come in every day eager to learn and ready for the next challenge. Music has become an outlet for many of our students and they impress us by expressing their individualism and their confidence that comes from learning a new instrument.
Our students teach me something new every day through their enthusiasm, charisma and character.
I am incredibly fortunate to have these students in my life! I am looking forward to giving back to them as much as they bring to my life daily.
We have an incredible partnership this year with a local youth symphony, offering us special instruction and fieldwork opportunities. To get our band fully up and running and prepared for this incredible opportunity we are in need of some more instruments. We are so excited to get back to band after almost three years!
