This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are bilingual diverse learners. They are kind and very respectful. As preteens and teenagers, they are learning new things about themselves and the world around them. They are being taught to demonstrate honor, courage, and commitment inside and outside of the classroom setting.
They work hard and they are learning to be good to all people.
We have a school-wide campaign centered around being good to all people for this year. My students love learning new skills and creating things they can share with others. They live on the Northwest side of Chicago. Most of the students come from low-income families.
My Project
This donation will make our group of enthusiastic cheerleaders become and feel like a team. Part of being a cheerleader includes school spirit to help boost the morale of the football and basketball players. It includes our students forming friendships that could last a lifetime. But when our cheerleaders look and feel like one team, it will boost their confidence and morale as well. These items will not be used at home. These items will be used when we return to in-person learning. This will help our students feel like a team. Finally, this donation would also give our students the opportunity to give back to their community.
