My Students
My students are your typical, small-town children growing up in the twenty-first century. Their world is constantly changing and at four years old, they do not have much control over anything that happens. My goal is to always be a constant in my students' lives and help cultivate a love of learning in each and every student who walks through my door by offering love and compassion.
Once you walk into our classroom, you are part of our family.
We work together to achieve goals such as letter recognition, letter sounds, and counting. We make sure that we are following the golden rule and treating others how we want to be treated, so we can all learn as much as possible during the time we have together.
My Project
This dry erase, small group table will allow my students the ability to take their learning into their own hands and practice much needed skills with minimal distractions. My students are four years old and have wonderful imaginations. This makes our days full of fun and laughter; however, it can also cause distractions when we are trying to learn a new skill.
Please help me supply my students with a way to explore what they are learning with minimal distractions.
Having to get small whiteboards out for my students to write on, means that we have to spend part of our small group time reminding everyone of how we use the whiteboards. Therefore, we do not get all of the learning accomplished that we could, if we could write directly on the table. My hope is that with this new, small group table we can explore so many new and wonderful skills such as our alphabet, numbers, patterns, money, and financial literacy. I want my students to have a strong foundation to build upon as they continue through their school careers.
