One Little, Two Little, Three Little Readers

My Kindergarten students need 30 books, including classics by Dr. Seuss, Eric Carle and Bill Martin, Jr.

This project is fully funded

Reading is the foundation of school. I am a new Kindergarten teacher and I need new books for my classroom. My school is a title one school which means that it is in a low income area. A lot of materials have to be provided for the students by either the school or myself.

I currently do not have a lot of books on the kindergarten level. Without the ability to read and explore books, it is hard for a student to learn.

For this project, I have selected a few books to get me started in my classroom. It will provide me with enough books to begin author's studies and begin teaching the standards to the students. It will also provide the students with books they can begin to read on their own.

I feel that reading is very important to students. The ability to read is the foundation of all education. I would love to have a way to provide books for my students to use to explore all subject areas. It is sometimes hard to accommodate all of the needs in a classroom when working in a low income area.
