My students need games. As an enrichment, I am running an after school game club. This club is for students K-5. I have many games for the older grades, but don't have any for younger kids.

My Students
This is the most amazing group of children I have ever met. They are bright, talented and great thinkers. My students work hard and want to do well in school They love to learn new things in new ways. Most of them do speak English, but they have diverse families, socio-economic status, backgrounds. They live in diverse neighborhoods. Some children have access to internet and books, others do not. They all learn in different ways, and as a teacher I am constantly trying to challenge them.
My Project
My family grew up playing games. Many students don't have these experiences anymore. They are growing up in a digital world where everything is immediate and on a screen. They do no know how to play simple games, take turns, and lose and win well. During the after school enrichment game club, the children will learn how to play games. They will learn that screens aren't the only fun. These games will enrich their lives and help them think outside the box while having fun at the same time.
I am hoping that by participating in game club, the kids will forever enjoy games and realize there is more than screens.
