This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Looking from the lens of my kindergarten students, everything is meant to look colorful, whimstical, and fun! Knowing this, as a teacher, we spend summers visiting various supply stores to buy the perfect classroom materials for our students. Their childhood classrooms play such a vital role in their memories, so teachers like me need to find the perfect materials for our students! My students love reading time and they are happy with sitting on the rug but having a cozy couch would really encorage them to spend more time in our classroom library.

Reading time is my students' favorite time!

its a magial time to lose themselves in a fairytale or learn about their favorite characters. Many of my students are excellent at acclimating and making the best out of what they are given; they have no problem sitting on our floor chairs or on the rug. But just imagine how many more students we can get in the library if we had a nice and comfortable couch and chair! With your help, we can give my students the chance to cozy up with a book and fall in love with reading!

Everyone knows how comforting it feels when you're diving into a new book! Students will be able to feel physically and emotionally supported with a more comfortable classroom library! A comfortable place to sit gives them the chance to really focus on their books, feel calm, and develop good posture. More importantly, it shows them they are cared for!
