This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students face the challenges of poverty on a daily basis. We are located in the southernmost region of the United States and live in one of the poorest counties in the country. These students, who wake up every morning wanting to learn despite the difficulties that they face at home, are who inspired and motivated me to join this website. I am honored and blessed to serve them and to be part of their lives. This is why reaching out to you is the least I can do to help them improve and be able to reach and experience the same opportunities that others have in our country. My students manage to always have a smile and care for each other as much as possible every single day. Thank you for taking the time to read this short description of my students!
My Project
In this era of technology, a Chromebook means infinite possibilities for resources. We are trying to move forward with the transition between the traditional teaching system to technology-student based learning.
Achieve 3000, Istation, Learning A-Z, Imagine Math, and Prodigy are only some of the amazing programs that students should have access to on a daily basis, but due to the lack of equipment in our school, they are impossible to obtain.
Students have shown more progress and learning through technology than with the traditional learning system. Help me build a technologically-based classroom, one Chromebook at a time!
