This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are in sixth grade and are curious and inquisitive. They’re always ready to explore something new and love hands-on materials in the classroom. This year, we need a set of game buzzers so we can do some competitions about math facts that will surely enhance their learning.

This will give them a chance to develop quick mental calculations, and above all will give them confidence about their answers because sometimes they can be doubtful of themselves if they are doing it right.

We will be having a mini-competition per classroom and whoever is going be the winner will have to compete with the winners in all cohorts in 6th grade till we find the champion. This will eventually encourage the students to study more and even explore other Math Standards outside of their grade level and will be advanced.
