My Students
My students are my light in the day. They come each morning with energy, excited to learn and a brightness in their eyes that I admire and envy everyday. They love each other and want to help each other succeed. This year's class has had huge obstacles that are completely different then anyone else has ever had to experience. COVID has effected their experiences before ever walking in a room full of people. But they continue to push to succeed and learn. I see changes and growth daily.
My Project
Having books at all levels for my students allows them to explore the adventures in a book. No one is excluded because something is offered for them all. Each week they can check out a book and read at home. They get excited and proud of themselves to have a book and know they can show their parents what they are learning at school. The children work with me reading at different levels. They love going to the library. This allows them to check our a book and practice. Reading at home gives them practice and more confidence.
