My Students
My students study insects as part of our 2nd grade curriculum, but they do not have any books to read independently about the subject.
I teach a class with 22 2nd grade general education students.
They are very eager learners and soak up everything that they are taught. My students attend an inner city school and they face challenges in their personal lives every day, but they make the most of what they have.
My Project
Please help us purchase non-fiction books about insects at my students' independent reading levels. They will be used at silent reading time to build upon their science knowledge. We also need reading games for centers at their level to expand on their reading skills.
