This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Help bring learning and excitement into the classroom by donating colorful carpet for my students to sit on as their imaginations explore various perimeters through books and more.
My class is a combination of white, black and Hispanic students.
I have a total of 20 students. My students are eager to learn new things such blending sounds and story comprehension. They are very helpful towards each other when new activities or skills are introduced. My students attend an inner-city school in Florida in which the majority of them are from single family homes and the median income is at or above the poverty level.
My Project
My students are pre-kindergarten. We do not use regular classroom desks. Therefore, I'm requesting a large and small carpet for large group activities such as meeting and greeting time, phonics, and story time. Also, for small group time for math and science activities and small group instruction.
My project is important because learning needs to take place in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
Therefore, I am requesting carpets in order for my students to know that they can feel and be at ease while enhancing and contributing to the class whether in a small or large learning group.
