Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

COVID-19, distance learning, and social distancing has impacted special needs severe and profound students growth and progress. During these times they were limited to resources available to encourage and develop their love for reading.

My students show enthusiasm and interest when provided with colorful illustrations and interesting board books.

My students show excitement and are motivated to engage in literature that is connected to their ability level and preferred interests. Some of their preferred books are written by Dr. Seuss, Eric Carle, and Alice Schertle. Theses board books will support social-emotional learning and increase their knowledge. This project will support and enrich their exposure to literature and learning.
