Help me give my students basic resources and supplies like markers for projects and table activities. Also the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to purchase authentic French lesson plans that are engaging to students.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students enter my class each day to learn French. However, in southern California, they often have limited exposure to French culture, cuisine, and especially French literature.
I strive to create an environment that encourages my students to learn and use the target language, French, as much as possible.
Often, the only time these students communicate in French is in my classroom. So I do my best to offer them a place to learn that is conducive to them as high school students.
My Project
The markers and pens will allow my students to begin the semester with new supplies. New markers and pens will encourage my students to work collaboratively as they learn about the French culture in new ways.
The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card allows teachers to learn from other professionals and create curriculum that is authentic and engaging.
It also allows me to purchase lessons that promote learning that all students can understand.
This new school year I want to invite the students to join the class and learn French in an atmosphere that is most conducive to student success.
