it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love most about my students is their resilience, creativity, and curiosity. Every day, they show up eager to learn, even when challenges arise. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to the classroom. They thrive when they feel safe, supported, and engaged—and I strive to create a space where they feel seen and empowered to be their best selves.
The resources I’m requesting will help meet their emotional and learning needs.
• Snacks will ensure that no student is trying to learn while hungry. A small snack can make a big difference in helping students focus and regulate their emotions, especially during long class periods or when they haven’t had enough to eat.
• A digital clock-timer will help students manage their time more independently, build executive functioning skills, and stay on task during project-based and group work. It also supports students who thrive on visual cues and routine.
• Fidget toys offer students a quiet, appropriate way to self-regulate and stay focused. For many of my learners—especially those with ADHD, anxiety, or sensory needs—having a fidget tool can mean the difference between distraction and engagement.
These small but powerful items will support my students not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well. Thank you for helping me create a classroom environment where every student can thrive.
