This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in my classroom are active learners. They are very independent workers. Most come from lower economic homes in San Jose, CA and have very few resources at their disposal. I also have a lot of students who are bilingual, and English is their second language.
Students in my classroom are thinkers and problem solvers.
They dive into all areas of the curriculum and read about it, explore it, question it, and develop a good understanding of the subject or topic we are learning about. We are in an open pod school pod with 3 other classes.
My Project
I am looking to have a moveable whiteboard for my classroom. My students often work in many areas of my classroom. I tend to move from group to group in different areas to help teach and guide my students.
I am looking for a moveable whiteboard so I can help guide my students and allow them access to the whiteboard for their learning.
Students love to write on the class whiteboard. They demonstrate their understanding as well and share ideas and plan with the class. I use whiteboards to teach and help guide my students daily and when the whiteboard is across the room it can be hard for the students to see. Carrying a small whiteboard from group to group is also not as efficient as a large moveable whiteboard. So I am looking to get a movable whiteboard for my classroom, so that my students can work around the room without having to see the class whiteboard that may be across the room. If you can help my students would truly appreciate it.
