My Students
My students are an enthusiastic group who love to learn. They are active, funny and they always have a lot of great ideas to contribute. I appreciate their spirit and enjoy hearing their reflections and all they have to add to our class discussions. I want to create a special atmosphere where they can thrive and enjoy their third grade experience.
With a rigorous third grade classroom, I am always interested in ways to keep them connected, focused and most importantly, interested in learning.
My Project
I have requested a balance board, a specialized seat cushion and three sit and move chairs. The common theme for all of the items is the ability for students to move while they learn. These flexible seating options allow students to listen to instruction and remain active at the same time. For many students, this is a key concept.
Opportunities to choose where they would like to sit or how they best learn, empowers them as students.
My goal is to create a classroom environment that inspires student to learn and allows them to succeed to the best of their ability.
