This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school serves students grades pre-k through fifth. My school is located in an area of Arkansas that could be considered in need of repairs. More than 90% of our students participate in a free or reduced-rate lunch program.
Because money is in short supply, I am always looking for ways to help bring exciting new materials into the classroom.
My students have limited experiences, so projects like these help make learning come to life. These experiences will help my students develop a love for learning.
My Project
This upcoming school year is going to be the best EVER because my students are going to get access to a new Science curriculum and a new Math curriculum! To help support our new curriculum, I need a Q-Ball throwable microphone to help my students engage in meaningful discussions around math and science topics. Additionally, I am in need of materials to utilize during Math and Science stations.
Stations are the highlight of the day because students get to explore concepts in hands-on ways.
One such way is through our sand and water table, which is new this year. I need floating materials to keep students actively engaged at that center. I also need a Copernicus Tech Tub to keep our technology materials safe and secure when they are not in use. Please help me make this project a reality for my students! They deserve it!
