Help me give my students sensory comforting tools to help with self regulation.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Mann's classroom raised $371

My Project
An increasing number of students come to school unprepared for meeting social, academic, and physical expectations. All students need to learn to self-regulate. These items will help students to manage stress, anxiety, fears, and frustrations.
Students will learn how to manage stress, anxiety, fears, and frustrations with these items readily available for use in the classroom.
Research shows that students with ADHD, Autism, Mood disorders (and many other challenges) benefit from big movement breaks multiple times per day. The tunnel items will allow the students to move around and gain big movement with resistance.
All of these items will be utilized to give students independence to work through their emotions in a safe sensory comforting way. The students benefitting from this project do have a hard time controlling or reacting to situations. Releasing some of their energy climbing through this tunnel can help relieve some of the stress or anxiety they are dealing with. They can do this activity independently without having to wait for an adult to intervene.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
