Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our Spring semester project, “On Our Tables”, will allow students an opportunity to explore their own questions around how our food is produced, prepared, and consumed. With perspectives derived from their explorations, students will design and create products that connect to elements of food production. A huge portion of this project is centered around community service. Within the process of the project, students will be designing and building garden beds for high-poverty elementary schools to use for garden education. They will also design and build items that are meant to contribute to the production, preparation and consumption of food.
