This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a diverse group of students in an international middle school in Montgomery County. They come from a variety of backgrounds, each bringing their own unique stories to our class.

I want to empower my students to be confident and successful while embracing their cultural backgrounds.

My Project

We've been having such a great school year in science class, doing hands-on experiments and learning in ways we were not able to when stuck at home during virtual learning. We want to continue learning in person!

That is why we need to keep our surfaces and supplies disinfected after each use, hands washed after group work and experiments, and have extra masks on hand.

These supplies will go a long way in ensuring a clean science lab for students and will hopefully allow us to continue our hands-on learning in a safe way.
