Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students I teach are enthusiastic, curious, and passionate about learning. They enjoy creative projects that bring learning to life.

Nearly all of the children I teach here at our Title I school in the inner city come from hard-working immigrant parents that strongly value education.

Although many of my students come from backgrounds of substantial economic hardship, you wouldn't know it by looking at their eager faces. They love coming to school and learning new things.

My Project

Technology plays a huge part in the 21st century classroom. My students will be able to use our new classroom tablet/laptop to create stand-out presentations. They will design slideshows, edit videos, create posters, and so much more. The chromebooks they currently have access to are excellent for research and even design, but a more robust laptop/tablet is needed to connect with the classroom projector, speakers, and document reader in order to present everything to their peers.

By donating to our project, my students will be able to create and present a variety of multi-media projects using the new laptop/tablet.

Now that we will be back in the classroom full-time, my students deserve up-to-date equipment in our classroom to enhance their learning at school. Nothing excites students more than increasing their computer/tablet literacy by sharing what they know with their peers. This new laptop will allow them to do that in style!
