This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Music is an integral part of a child's education and with your help, we can make sure our students have exposure to artists who paved the way for our young musicians.
My students will be learning about the musicians' story and the history of music that they will be performing!
I teach music at a dynamic elementary school where all our students love to learn and engage in the arts. Our entire school population receives free lunch and many students are unable to afford their own materials, books, and instruments.
Luckily, I am at a charter school that supports the arts but we depend on donors and other supporters to help with our music program.
My Project
These simple plastic recorders will bring so much joy into the lives of my students and educational journey. Not only are they creating and valuing the arts at a deeper level, but their brains are greatly benefiting from this exposure of basic instrument playing. Their attention level will be strengthened during music notation reading, which in turn will assist them with their learning in their general education class.
By choosing to support this proposal you are choosing to allow music to help strengthen our youth and keep them passionate about learning.
You are choosing to increase our high school graduation rates by giving them another reason to attend. You are choosing to give them another method of expressing themselves. You are choosing success for my students, our school, and our country! Thank you!
