My Students

Essays! Poetry! Art! Protest manifestos! Our printer shares our words with the world. Unfortunately, Old Bessie is gone.

I have taught at our high-poverty school for almost a decade.

As long as I have been here, Old Bessie has been the greatest asset in our classroom. She has, literally, been on our campus longer than most teachers. She has printed hundred of personal statements, thousands of essays, and millions of new ideas to share with the community and our classes.

My Project

We need a new HP LaserJet printer, since "Old Bessie," isn't working anymore! After we say goodbye to our dear friend, students will again be able to receive feedback on their writing, post fliers for book club around campus, and develop as writers and thinkers in all of their classes. Students from all over school come to print in our classroom. The deal? Read. Write. Think. Any they do, always.

We had a good run, but many good things come to an end.

The good news is, our learning can continue with your help. When you donate, feel free to suggest a new name for our new printer. We'll let you know which the students choose! Thanks for making our class a little better for students to learn and grow!
