This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love using the computers! However, our district has computers that are out of date and that do not have the capacity to use certain websites! I am hoping with the technology era upon us that I can get working computers to help reinforce the skills learned in the classroom!

Most of my students do not have computers at home.

I provide them with information about our local libraries; however, with technology growing, they will not have the resources available to them. My hope is to teach the students how to use the computer and it's resources to better their education!

My Project

We currently use many educational websites to promote reading and math, although our computers currently do not have the capability to access some of the sites! My hope is to get new computers and teach my students how to use them. Also, I want my students to benefit from the websites to reinforce lessons learned in class. Technology is growing...I want my students to grow with it and be ready for a technology driven world. Not play catch up to what they have not learned.

The donations to help get a laptop will benefit my students by providing them with access to the many learning opportunities provided on the web.

Having a computer that works is key in fulfilling this goal. There are many useful tools on the web, why not expose my students to them when it benefits their education?
