Oh, the Places You'll go...pt. 1

My students need 66 reading books. Lots of the them! As of right now I have 25 students who love to read but there are not enough books for everyone to read.

My Students

Children love to read. Reading allows them not only to learn new things, explore and live new lives, but also grow as individuals. Now, imagine having the interest, the desire, the urge to read but having no books in your classroom to read.

My students love school.

It's a place where they feel safe and encouraged. School is where it is okay to dream and explore. Reading, especially, is their favorite subject area. Help me make it a fun and challenging experience. The students for whom you are donating today are a group of 25 energetic and tenacious 4th graders in New York. They come from tough home situations (low-income homes, one-parent home, homeless shelters and foster homes) yet every morning they come in with a bright smile and an eagerness to learn.

My Project

I am requesting fiction reading books for our classroom library. As of right now my students are not reading as often as they would like because we do not have enough books to go around. With this project I am hoping to bring enough books so that each students will have the opportunity to read two to three chapter books per week.

Reading is fundamental and it is important that students have options to choose from.

By helping me get this project funded you are ensuring that my students have assess to reading books at their level and interest.
