My students need to be able to access learning in many different ways. I have requested one iPad and the protection plan in case they drop it accidentally!

My Students

They are bubbly, energetic, and want to know about, frogs, dinosaurs, princesses, and how to build towers.

They are artists and imaginative!

They know no limits! I want to make sure I give them as many learning opportunities as possible. We are in a small rural town, that has a cozy feel to it! I am very lucky to be able to say I love going to school every day!

My Project

Currently the only iPad I have for students to use is the one that I own. I gladly share it with my students all day long to work on handwriting practice, counting, addition and subtracting. They love to listen to stories, that they can choose and the iPad will read to them. They can play games that reinforce sight word recognition, letter identification, and letter sounds.

Having another iPad in my classroom would cut down a little on my students arguing whose turn it is to use the iPad.

We would have twice as many! Seriously though, it would give access to more materials that interest students such as reading, writing or math applications. They share willingly, however it would be nice to be able to hand out two iPads and give more access to technology to these students. I wish I had one for each student. I believe this is such a powerful learning tool!
